About The Role

The Data Protection Advisor shall assist the Data Protection Team Leader in ensuring that the business remains complaint with its Data Protection obligations throughout the Group.

 Their primary role shall be to provide administrative support to the unit to assist it functions in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and internal Data Protection Policies.

 Data Protection Advisor shall be responsible for the completion of Data Subject Rights Requests, including Data Subject Access Requests and the maintenance of the Data Subject Rights Requests log.

 In addition, In addition, the Data Protection Advisor shall provide assistance to the Data Protection Team in audits, breach investigations and GDPR assessments.

 Key responsibilities:

  •  Liaise with internal stakeholder to maintain and update Records of Processing Activities
  •  Completing Data Subject Access Requests, including engaging with internal stakeholders who are required to provide information in respect of Policyholder requests. This will include ensuring all appropriate matters are included or redacted.
  •  Assist the the Senior Data Protection Compliance Officer with the assessment and completion of;
    •  Legitimate Interest Assessments,
    •  Data Protection Impact Assessments and
    •  Transfer Impact Assessments
    •  Completion of other Data Subject Rights requests.
  •  Assist the Data Protection Team Leader with the completion of the Data Protection Monitoring Plan, including the management of the timetable.
  •  Assist the Data Protection Team Leader with Data Protection Audits being carried out within the business and business partners.
  •  Assist the Data Protection Team Leader with the investigation of data breaches identified within the business and at its data processors.
  •  Managing the timetable in respect of Data Rights requests, ensuring all responses are issued within the regulatory requirements.

About You

Essential

  • Understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation
  • Experience within a data protection role

  • Experience in handling Data Subject Right requests
  • Evidence of effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • An ability to be organised in planning activities and assisting other to do so
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • A tenacious and effective approach to exceeding targets (both individually and through a team).
  •  Drives delivery when working with ambiguity and change.
