About The Role

ARAG UK Group have an exciting opportunity for a Resilience and Continuity Co-ordinator to come join the Resilience and Continuity team within Digital Services, ensuring appropriate policy, process, controls and risk mitigations are established and embedded in the organisation under Business Continuity and Operational Resilience. This varied role will be covering People, Process, and Technology, with a focus on resilience within capacity, capability, technical solutions, and disaster recovery across the business. 

You will be developing tools, processes, and systems to support the management of business continuity and operational resilience. This includes business impact assessment, business response plans, exercise testing, continuity KPIs, and documentation. 
The role involves identifying, specifying, and addressing relevant risks and issues, collaborating with other business functions and the ARAG group whilst fostering strong connections crucially within the business and with external partners, particularly when addressing audit and compliance inquiries. This ensures a robust framework for business resilience, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.
The individual in this position will ensure that the business regulatory obligations are understood and any changes are communicated in a timely manner and maintain ARAG’s Business Continuity and Operational Resilience policies and documentation.

Other role responsibilities include:

Engage with our critical third parties to obtain sufficient assurance about continuity and resilience arrangements. 
Maintaining our ISO22301:2019 certification by following relevant processes and guidelines
Working with the wider Digital Services team to ensure that disaster recovery testing is planned, conducted and documented with remedial actions where applicable for UK, Canada & Ireland in line with DORA and other requirements including ISO27001:2022
Organise, participate and contribute to desktop walkthroughs with interested parties including management and DR tests with appropriate Digital Services teams to ensure resilience within our IT systems and processes.
Organise, participate and contribute to continued development of our operational resilience, business continuity and disaster recovery management systems.

About You

We are keen to hear from individuals who are highly organised with previous experience of working in a Disaster Recovery/Continuity/Resilience role and familiar with ISO22301 & ISO27001 best practice. You will have experience working with incident/crisis management including knowledge of emergency response and the ability to develop, implement and manage BC Plans. 

You should have strong interpersonal skills to maintain relationships. Certifications in BCI, PMI, CISI, ITIL, or related fields, along with project management skills and knowledge of continuous improvement, are desirable. 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to BIA, statistics, and risk assessment, along with effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to convey complex information in writing or through presentations to various audiences, are desirable. 
You should be able to write policies that meet legal and organisational requirements. You must demonstrate the ability to prioritise complex tasks and work under stressful conditions with multiple directives.
