About The Role

ARAG UK Group is excited to welcome a dynamic Business Continuity and Operational Resilience Manager to Bristol office.

This is a pivotal role where you’ll shape and strengthen the resilience of our growing UK business, while also influencing our operations across Canada and Ireland. If you want to drive meaningful change and lead a team that plays a critical part in safeguarding our organisation, this is the opportunity for you.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of setting, training and monitoring robust Operational Resilience and Business Continuity frameworks. You’ll lead, mentor and inspire our Business Continuity & Operational Resilience team as they enhance our global policies, tools and processes. Your expertise will ensure we remain compliant with legal, regulatory and commercial standards—while managing reputational risks across the group.

You’ll also play a key role in driving the wider business towards a clear, cohesive resilience strategy. From delivering key programmes of work, including ISO 22301:2019 certification and compliance with FCA SYSC15A and PRA requirements, to maintaining our ISO 27001:2022 standards, this is a chance to make a lasting impact.

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing and strengthening organisational resilience and continuity strategies, collaborating closely with colleagues across Info Sec, Governance and Resilience.

• Influencing internal stakeholders to ensure resilience and continuity remain a priority within the change agenda.

• Preparing high‑quality reports for Boards and Executive Management, ensuring regulatory and legal requirements are clearly defined, communicated and embedded.

• Ensuring resilience and continuity plans are tested, remediated and aligned with DORA requirements across the UK, Ireland and Canada.

• Leading and contributing to internal and external Committees, Councils and Forums as needed.

• Defining and overseeing key data requirements to support non‑financial reporting.

• Providing expert guidance on risk documentation for internal teams and third parties, supporting remediation programmes following incidents.

• Managing simultaneous continuity and resilience workstreams and overseeing day‑to‑day team operations, including planning and resource forecasting.

• Supporting incident management, maintaining clear documentation and reporting on all major incidents.

• Leading, motivating and developing your team, ensuring they deliver excellent service and meet their goals, while managing all line‑management responsibilities.

About You

We are looking for someone who thrives in a role where your expertise genuinely shapes how an organisation prepares for the future. With a strong background in Continuity Standards and a solid understanding of FCA and PRA operational resilience regulations, you know how to bring strategy to life and embed regulatory requirements into day‑to‑day business practice.

You will be a natural leader; confident managing people, building strong relationships, and guiding third‑party partners. In addition, you will bring drive, initiative and the ability to influence at all levels, from operational teams to senior leadership. Communication is one of your superpowers: whether you’re presenting, writing, or collaborating, you adapt your style effortlessly to suit your audience.

Experience within legal services, law firms or the insurance industry is a bonus, especially in regulated environments, but what matters most is your passion for resilience, your ability to think commercially, and your commitment to making things better.

You’ll bring:
• Exceptional planning, prioritisation and organisational skills
• Experience leading or contributing to governance committees and forums
• Strong knowledge of ISO 22301:2019 and ISO 27001:2022

It would be great if you also have:
• A relevant technology or resilience qualification
• Hands‑on experience with operational resilience frameworks and methodologies
• Exposure to BC & Operational Resilience risks across buildings, IT, people, audits or assurance

As a team we are passionate and enthusiastic about what we do. Our people are encouraged to think independently and to take ownership of their work. You will be agile in the way that you work and adaptable to change. In return for your commitment, we can offer you the following benefits package:

  • 27 days holiday with the option to buy up to a further 5 days
  • Company pension scheme with the option to increase contributions
  • Group Income Protection for all employees
  • Group Legal Protection for all employees
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • European Motor Assistance
  • Home Emergency Assistance
  • Salary sacrifice benefits, including cycle scheme

Whilst this is a full-time position, we want to support our employees to achieve a work-life balance that works for them and are happy to discuss flexible working options.

If you think you would be a good match for this role and can demonstrate some transferable experience please apply, regardless of whether you meet all the criteria listed above.
